The media has blown it way out of proportion and it is time that someone does something about it. Here are ten things I think about when I hear the words "Swine Flu".

1. It is not as bad as the regular flu. This is not some kind of speculation. I have had two family members get Swine Flu and they have both come back and said "the regular flu from 2 years ago was 7 times worse." 7 times!!!

2. Swine Flu is only bad when coupled with Pneumonia or an infection. DUH!!! I hate this sentiment because ya know what, PNEUMONIA IS BAD ON ITS OWN!!! What does Swine Flu have to do with it?

3. Swine Flu was engineered by the government. It is a man-made virus. No doubt. The only question is why would they do it? We will get to that.

4. This is not the first time we have seen it. True story: my grandma had it just after World War 2 as a toddler. Anyone who has seen the movie Outbreak will know that this is a true government conspiracy. After WWII there was nothing left for the America people to fear, so in sweeps Swine Flu to catapult the fear of the American people into the hands of the government. Hmmm, terrorism is on the downturn, the government is losing its credibility, and Charlie Sheen is questioning 9/11. Sounds like a good time to instill a little fear because everyone knows that government control is rooted in the fear of its people.

5. This is just a cover-up for the government mandated vaccine. It has already started in health clinics and hospitals. Anytime someone tells me I have to take a shot or else, I am skeptical. I was in middle school and I am today.

6. The vaccine will be worse than the virus. Two words: Population Control. Cases have already popped up where people have died from the vaccine. Make your own decisions, but as for me, I will take my chances with the virus that is only 1/7 of a normal flu rather than take the mystery vile that the government is dishing out.

7. The media is not looking out for you. Fear sells in the news business. They will tell you the worst cases and only the awful stats about Swine Flu rather than how it is not that bad. They work for the government and helping out American families is not going to make them any richer. Helping Obama become a dictator could give them a federally funded bank account.

8. Swine Flu and health care reform are connected. We already established that swine flu is a government invention so why would they unleash it on their own people? Why? How about using the fear induced by Swine Flu to push through a radically unlawful and tyrannical bill which will give the government total control of the medical system. It's not the first time they have done this. 9/11 struck so much fear that we applauded Bush's campaign to fight the "evil-doers." Truth: He was the evil-doer and the war on Afghanistan was planned months before 9/11.

9. The government is smart enough to pull all of this off. The best thing for Obama and his campaign for a dictatorship came out of the Bush administration. After Bush came out and spoke like an idiot EVERY TIME he was on TV, the American people just assumed the government was just a bunch of morons. That was never and will never be the case. Sure Bush sounded like he didn't know the difference between a Prime Rib and a Prime Minister, but they were all masterminds behind an evil plot. The same is true for Obama. The idiotic perception carried over into Obama's office and he will reap all of the benefits. Do not. I repeat: DO NOT put anything past these people. They do not have your best interests at heart.

10. The children and the elderly are most at risk. WRONG! We are all at risk. Look past the media cover-up and the Presidents kind words to see what is behind the curtain. There is something worse out there than the Swine Flu and we elected HIM.

Happy Birthday to My Wife!

Today is the 24th anniversary of my wife being born and it brings many thoughts to mind. Is she happy? Is she satisfied with the way her life has turned out with me? While I hope for the best with these questions and I think I know the answers, I really will never truly know. I know what she would say, but I don't know the thoughts behind her words.

You see, we haven't had a lot of money in our marriage.....ever. We constantly are dealing with bills and collectors which takes its toll on any marriage. I feel like we have handled it with the best of 'em. It has gotten to the point where this year, I can't even afford to buy her a birthday present. I can't express how devastating this is for me. She has always put together amazing birthdays for me and I have no way of reciprocating that for her this year. It is the second lowest I have ever felt when it comes to my ability to provide for my family. I try to put on a good front and put on a happy face because all we have right now is a happy face.

I love my wife. With everything I have, I love my wife. She deals with me and everything that comes with that...... she is a saint. If you don't know her, she is gorgeous, fun, caring, forgiving, and she actually beat me in basketball (anyone who really knows me, knows thats a prophecy come true). If you met her, you would want her to be the mother of your kids too.

So on this day of celebrating birth, I want to thank my wife for being born and using that life to enrich mine. I am so grateful for my life and it is simply because of her. I want to tell her that I love her no matter what happens in our life and that she could never do anything to decrease my love for her. I want her to know that even though I can't buy her a present this year, I promise to do better for every year to come. I want to tell her that I'm sorry if this is the worst birthday ever. I want her to know that I don't care about the scars.......oh wait that's the Dark Knight. Bad movie quote. I want her to know I am sorry for ruining every good moment with stupid stuff like that "becuase that's what we do. We fight! You call me a ***** and I tell you when you're being a pain in the ***!" -Notebook, much better. I want her to know I love her...... maybe she already knows these things...... maybe she just found out.

I love you baby! <-- *bedazzled*

Fantasy Football is here!!!

Fantasy football has started and this season has kicked off with a great start.... ok maybe 0-2 isn't the start I was expecting, but I still have faith in my team. I am confident that my team will pull it together next week when I play Team Lamb who has started 2-0. I have been projected to win each week by double digit points, but the projections don't take into account my incredibly bad luck this season. (side note: do not play anyone whose team is playing the Jets.)

Still plenty of time to make up the early losses and my team seems to be improving. My running backs need to step it up or I will be complaining a lot over the next couple of weeks. Bear with me.

Coolest thing I did this week: I taught my nephew, Hunter, how to pitch. He is gonna be a stud with a cannon for an arm.

Read my other blog at poker.net
